Did you realize that some of the major Skate Brands are now selling you boards made in China? You'd probaby know, but of several large brands we know doing this, only a couple actually even follow the law the requires them to be marked "Made in China" so that you know what your are getting. I've heard from insiders that their sales have dropped big time, which makes me understand why they'd rather not mark them. It brings a couple questions to our minds.

Do you really want to buy a skateboard made in China by non skaters for the same price as one made in the USA-in a skater owned and operated factory? You do have a choice to buy skateboards from skaters!

Can you trust a company getting boards made in China and not labeling them "Made In China"? What else are they lying about? Why don't they make their own boards like we do?  I guess if they marked them properly, then you'd know for sure that they never had their own factory, so I guess that's one reason they conveniently forget to let you know.

You can tour our factory on this site, and you can come by and visit if you are in Costa Mesa, California and we'll show you in person. If you can't tour their factory, they probably don't have one, or it's probably in China, making skateboards for Toy Stores side by side! That's something you should think about!

We are a real skateboard company-we ride and we make skateboards!! Below are some articles about what we are doing to assure you can still get an American Made Skateboard.

Are Shoes and Skateboards The Same?

Some People who want to sell you Skateboards Made in China try to say it's just the same as buying one made in the USA--Is It?

ASBMA-An Organization forming to protect Skaters

An Organization is formed intended to help educate skaters about mislabeled and unlabled boards and to bring manufacturers together to protect themselves against this deceptive fraud.

Keep your eyes open in 2006 for boards with the ASBMA logo attached to know they were made in the USA, and please keep bugging your local skateshop about selling you brands made in China that are not labeling them "Made in China" as required by law. If you bug them, they'll bug the companies doing it, and maybe someday you'll know where they product you are buying is coming from.

My Manifesto on Chinese Labor (7 Pages)

This is my long winded babble about why I don't think skateboarders or skateboarding benefits by supporting Chinese Manufactured Skateboards over those made by Skateboarders here in the US. If You've got a few minutes to read, Enjoy, unless of course you are late to get to Walmart to buy a new board!
